I have been writing stories for ever but have only in the last few years started marketing my work.The most important piece of advice I have been given in my pursuit of publication is   

The main difference between the  unpublished writer and the published writer is the fact that the published writer didn't give up.

A drawer full - no two - of rejection letters collected before I sold my first short story has proved this true.

I  moved to London in the seventies but my work soon took me around the country and landed me finally on the Hampshire coast.
